Marriage / Couples Study

Our Marriage / Couples Study at Grace Church is an excellent study for married couples and couples preparing for marriage as it takes a closer look at the foundation, characteristics, and implications of Christian marriage.

The current Marriage / Couples study is going through a four-week HomeBuilders couple's study by Family Life on keeping your covenant and it shows couples how to reap the benefits of marriage as God intended. Harmony and happiness in relationships is not achieved by love alone, but by building on both parts of the Ephesians 5:33 equation-love and respect.

The Marriage Ministry uses a wide variety of study materials, including:

The Couples Study meets February 24th, March 9th, March 30th, and April 13th at 4:00 p.m. Please check our Sunday bulletin or contact the church office for the location of this study.

Parenting Classes

God calls us to train up our children in His ways and according to the Scriptures (Ephesians 6:4). As a resource to families, Grace Church periodically offers a twelve-week parenting class titled, "Shepherding a Child’s Heart." This study uses Tedd Tripp's book Shepherding a Child's Heart and explores God’s commandments, promises, and wisdom to shepherd our children, along with the books Training Hearts and Teaching Minds, by Starr Meade and Teaching Them Diligently: How to Use the Scriptures in Child Training, by Louis Paul Priolo.

Shepherding a Child's Heart satisfies the hunger for a fresh, biblical approach to child rearing and teaches parents how to speak to the heart of their child because the things a child does and says flow from the heart. Luke 6:45 puts it this way: "Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks." This parenting class is great for parents with children of any age, and provides parents with Biblical principals, perspectives, and procedures for shepherding a child's heart into the paths of life.
